Hello Summer!

by

I’m Nicole and I’m lucky enough to be 1 of 3 IMC student bloggers for these summer months. I’m really honored to share my story with all of you! Before sending in my application in 2010, I had contacted a previous blogger from my hometown in Canton, Ohio to learn more about being a virtual Mountaineer as I like to call it.

Canton’s home to much more than just the Pro Football Hall of Fame…it’s also home to 2 IMC bloggers!

I work in the tech industry at a web marketing firm in North Canton, Ohio, where I serve as a Marketing Specialist. I do a little bit of everything – copywriting, social networking, SEO and internal event coordination.

I’ve been a student in the IMC program for one year, and I’m taking the summer off before starting back up again this fall. I have 5 classes under my belt, which means I’m almost half way done. This past year (in addition to beginning the IMC program, of course) I’ve started a new job, entered the lovely world of homeownership, began playing in a tennis league…and figured I should take a breather while I can!

The past few weeks have already been spent already taking down wallpaper and doing lots of other homeowner-ish things. My porch is all ready for summer, even though the rest of my house isn’t!

This weekend, I’ll be traveling to Integrate along with an IMC friend from Cleveland. What I really love about the program is meeting people from across the country, and as cliché as it sounds, the biggest benefit I’ve discovered from the program is receiving insight from people with diverse backgrounds. There really is nothing like an online program!

I feel I have an uplifting story to tell, and over the next three months, I hope to have some fun with readers, as well as learn a little more about my fellow IMC student bloggers Barry and Ainsley!
